Shalom, and Welcome to the North Shore Hebrew School!

Are you looking for a fresh alternative for your child's Jewish Education?  Then check out the innovative changes at the North Shore Hebrew School!

Our newly designed curriculum is creative, interactive, educational, & fun!

The North Shore Hebrew School provides a safe, loving environment where children, teachers, and parents can explore their Jewish identity, nourish and maintain friendships, and participate in the richness of Jewish learning.  And we are proud to be designated as a United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism Framework for Excellence School!

We are a community based Hebrew School with enrollment OPEN TO ALL JEWISH CHILDREN - Temple membership is NOT mandatory!  We open our arms to everyone - no Jewish child should be denied a Hebrew School education, no matter what the reason.  If you would like your child to attend our school, and you have special circumstances, please feel free to contact our Director, Heather Greenberg, by clicking here.  Your inquiry will be handled with strict confidentiality.

We also offer "TRIAL MEMBERSHIPS" - come by for a week, two weeks, a month - see if you like it!  We're pretty sure you'll end up staying!  And note that we warmly welcome interfaith families.  In fact, we welcome anyone with an open mind for learning, making new friends, and having fun!

We have a new Tots for Torah Program for children ages 3 to pre-K, and our Hebrew School program is designed for children grades K through 6.  Please note that for children entering the 7th grade, we have partnered with Prozdor as our Hebrew High School.  North Shore Hebrew School will subsidize any student who has been with us for at least two years to attend Prozdor.  The subsidy will only apply to students attending Prozdor two days a week (more than two days a week will be the financial responsibility of the student's family).

What do we have up our sleeves?

  • Israeli music & dancing with Ellen Garfield every Sunday

  • Creative kosher cooking with Liora Kelman (for all ages - even parents are invited!)

  • Computer-oriented programming designed to make learning fun

  • Age-appropriate field trips

  • CD's of prayers & songs that your children can take home and learn and practice at their leisure

  • Junior Congregation Services that will rotate among our affiliated Temples once a month to help get our students (and you!) involved in the community

And lots more - plays, skits, art projects, student designed newsletters, etc. - we plan to learn by having fun!

For more information about our programs, or to register, please call Heather Greenberg at (978) 740-1836, or click here to send her an email.
